No, we did not spend not a single day in Greece, it was just an imagination, or was it a dream come true? We don't know. You do the math.

1. Do we have enough resources for the entire trip?

2. Where did we spend our Christmas?

3. How long have we been gone?

4. Diba may visa don? Expired na nga passport namin eh.

5. Do we have any Greek friends?

01 Nov. '09 - Banaue View Point

day 3, it's time to go home, but it's not over until it's over, with the help and guidance of kuya Stephen aka Max we left the beautiful place of Native Village Inn at Uhaj, and head towards the town proper of Banaue, made some stop at a couple of viewpoints in Banaue.

31 Oct. '09 - Hapao & Hungduan Rice Terraces

We (including our kids) decided [everyone needs to be part of the decision making] to visit Hapao and Hungduan Rice terraces, more than an hour of bone-jarring road condition only by tricycle, some of you would ask why? our reply: why not?

Left Native Village Inn 9:30 am

although never had a chance to take some pictures of the three wheeled vehicle and our guide kuya Romy, thankfully we got home safe.

Back to Base around 1:30 pm

30 Oct. '09 - Uhaj, Banaue, Ifugao

Destination Ujah.

Travelled 386.7 kms for a total of 10 grueling hours.

Left house 11:30 pm
Heavy traffic on Edsa
SCTEX Exit 2:30 am
Baloc N. Ecija 3:30
Sta. Fe road was not in good condition.
Bought some breakfast at Jollibee Solano 7:00 am
Banaue town proper to Ujah is a 10 kilometers (more or less) 1hour heart pumping journey. 'twas a blast!

Thobs was so afraid because of the road condition, even experienced stomach cramps, was so terrified that our ride won't make it... super thick & slippery muddy road rolled into one. our beloved Austin cried, too afraid that our vehicle might slide & eventually fall off the cliff.
At last we made it...
Arrived at Native Village Inn around 10:30 am, it was a paradise indeed.

Original plan was to spend only 1 night at Native Village Inn at Ujah, but it all changed after our kids saw the beautiful & serene place where we are staying. They immediately asked if we can spend 3 days and 2 nights. Request granted.
No cable TV, internet, but still they want to spend more time here rather than going elsewhere.

"Heaven on Earth" thobs description of the place.

21 April '09 - Matabang Beach Resort

After a week of preparation and a day of cancellation, at last we've made it.

half past midnight we started loading our things
at 1 a.m. we're on board on our ever trusty crv
took the NLEX then SCTEX La Paz exit
before 6 am we're at Alaminos, Pangasinan
from Burgos to Brgy. Osmena Dasol it would take you an 1 hour and half of driving that's because of 15 kilometers of unpaved road (rough road or dirt road to some)

I think after a few kilometers of dirt/rough road my husband started to apologize to our kids, he said that this won't ever happen again, we will not go back to this place ever again, and they responded accordingly.

But soon after we saw the beachfront plus the place where we would stay, we all agreed that this place is WOW!

We spent two nights at Matabang Beach Resort in Dasol, Pangasinan, to catch up some sun and our first trip to welcome the summer heat, unfortunately there was none.

Tita Heyse and Tito Sherwin was very accomodating to us, the owners of matabang beach resort. Food was never a problem since they can also serve some for you.

The original plan was to spend a couple of nights in Dasol, then Bolinao & finally 100 Islands at Alaminos, but it all changed because of the weather. We never had a chance to revisit Bolinao and explore 100 Islands.

Our kids enjoyed staying here, we all did.

Who say's first impression last? in our case it doesn't, 'cause our first impression WAS not that good, well... almost bad if you're in the middle of nowhere plus no great views multiply the 15 kms. of rough road.

You won't regret going to Dasol.

Worth visiting from time to time.

We love to come back.

We will go back...
